Paolo Della Grazia approached contemporary art at the beginning of the '60s and immediately showed a particular interest for experimentations centred on writing and words, researched that were being carried out in that period. Along with the artworks - now deposited at the Museion in Bolzano and Mart museum in Rovereto - he collected documentary material regarding people and happenings that animated the art panorama of that time, creating a real and proper archive and library, which in 1989 became accessible to the public in Milan. This material, vital proof of that inflamed art and culture season, is today completely accessible at the Mart. In the library of the museum there are more than 15000 volumes from this collection as well as correspondence, pamphlets and reviews; a very impressive amount if you take into consideration that they belong to just the one collection... |
